
Hi! My name is Meredith Adolph. I have an office job now, but I spent my twenties working as a restaurant cook, mostly in Toronto. I don’t miss working on my feet all day or smelling like bacon grease, but I do miss the license to curse a blue streak in the workplace. And I still love to cook.
I started this website as a place to be more creative in the kitchen and more mindful of how I eat. We all get into food ruts, and lately I’ve started to feel that I rely too heavily on my repertoire. I like to eat vegetables a lot, but I seem to always prepare them the same way. Ditto with desserts – I have my favourites, but need to branch out a little.
So that’s what you’ll find here: a record of my kitchen adventures as I work to bring new ways of eating into my repertoire. I’ll share the best results here, along with some tried-and-true favourites.
